Blog Post 26- Creating A Title

 Before i can post On instagram i need to find a title that best suits my documentary, but just because i find one that does not mean i am going to release it anytime soon, this is one of my tactics to interest and intrigue my audience, like a limited release.After my research i discovered that i as well want to have a catchy title for my documentary, the reason i want this is because of the specific strategies. Those strategies include stopping the scroll, improves searchablility, encouraging word of mouth, and set the tone or core theme before its released, and lastly just for branding purposes. The stopping for scrolling is mainly used when people are browsing for a show or movie to watch, this usually goes fast while people are looking for something to watch they do not want to wait, they want to find something as quick as possible so they will pick something that pops out to them, thats why finding a name thats catchy is extremly important. Improving serachability is making the title easily known and it can be searched easily and be able to find it quicker, because when audiences have to sit and think about it then its not as appealing to watch. Next when it encourages word of mouth, this is meaning that when talking about about the film it can be more pleasing to say a title of the documentary instead of a long and diffucult title like " a documentary about a husband in the military while his wife struggles to take care of her children without him". One of the most important which is setting the tone or theme, doing this before anything is released is benefitial because it can give the audience a sneak peak on what the film is going to fell like, this wont just give them a sneak peak but also get them exicted about whats to come. And lastly, branding purposes, it is simply that audiences are more likley to chose something that seems cooler and has a better title than something that does not. In the example below it shows the platform Netflix, this is a common place where all of these stratagies are used and where the examples i provided are supported, most audiences who scroll through Netflix are people that are doing everything i said audiences do. 

After a lot of consideration i have came to the conclusion that the title i will be using is " Deployment for four". This is a catchy title that many audiences will enjoy, it is easily remeberable and overall the perfect fit for my documentary, perfectly explaining that even though he is the one being deployed it still effects the rest of the family.
